After much discussion on our resurface, we went with the Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue Reflections… beginning to fill up
maria: Nice!! What were you told to do while it fills and after it fills? Mine is filling as I type!! I really love your pool/garden!
vicki: after it fills test the PH, alkalinity, calcium. Maybe add a sequestrant (Leslie’s Stain & Scale Remover) to help any metal build up.
Then brush brush brush, at least every morning and evening. Please anyone else add to this with information.
maria: vicki that’s pretty much what we were told!! Thank you for. Reassuring me!! I’m afraid to mess it up! Lol.
vicki: maria me too!!! That’s why I’m researching, asking questions, etc… So far so good and don’t want to mess it up.
heidi: Is it rough to the touch?
vicki: no, it’s not rough at all, actually pretty smooth.
james: Make sure and brush brush and brushbsome more. We ended up with a few plaster dust spots.
vicki: that’s what we’ve been told, brush brush brush!! Did y’all do any extra vacuuming? Or just let it go through the filtration system? They said not to use a vacuum with wheels for 3-4 weeks??
james: vicki brush to drain is fine we used wheels after 2 weeks no issues. Not a polaris. Get steps and walls also.
sha: Is this NPT quartzscapes? I’m getting this in Aruba sky in our new build. We have sensitive toes and get bloody quick. Told we can have it sanded down.
vicki: sha yes, it is. We debated between Aruba Sky and Tahoe Blue. Really didn’t make final decision until last moment. Pool guy said the Tahoe was more of a blue. Our original color, 15 yrs was a lighter blue, so decided on more blue. Please post pictures afterwards. Quartzscapes is smoother than mini pebbles.
david: Where do you live and how much did it set you back? I need to get mine resurfaced.
vicki: we live in Texas, outside of College Station. I ended up with 6 bids.
Quartzscapes Reflections series
$7,500 for pool resurface.
chris: Love it! Question: I’m assuming quartzscape is the same type of product as diamondbrite, did your builder tell you the plaster needs to cure for two weeks? My last build didn’t but I keep hearing that from others and they didn’t get upgraded plaster.
