I have a pool plumbing question. Does my return line (going into the ground) lead to my jets only? I’m trying to understand how the plumbing for a pool works. I like to have a working knowledge to better understand of my pool as a whole. TIA!
mike: YouTube is a great resource. 1 of probably 1000.
marcus: Mine do.
mario: Primary to the jets but some pool owner create some water fountains.
troy: Usually! But as with most things, it depends on who built your pool. As Mario mentioned, some will plumb into them to run water features or a slide or anything else. Your pumps will generally pull water from your skimmer(s) and the main drains. that water (generally) passes through a few valves, before entering your pump and being pushed through your filter then heater (If you have one) and back to your pool. The booster pump in this case takes water from after the filter and pushes it back to the cleaner line to power your chosen pool cleaning method.
